“I won the 2009 OsoLean Challenge!”

When my mom told me about the OsoLean Challenge, I just looked at her and thought, “Yeah, okay Mom; I get the hint!” But then I found out that it was for only eight weeks, and I decided to give it a try. My mother and I teamed up and did the Challenge together. It helps to have someone holding you accountable.

My main motivation at first was to win the contest (I love competition), so I took OsoLean powder twice a day, morning and night. I watched what I ate and kept a food diary. For a snack, I mixed a GlycoSlim shake and found out that if I froze it, it was better than ice cream!

I also ate smaller portions, and quit super-sizing things. I discovered that even when I used my small dessert plates, I would still be full after I ate. I also quit having anything to eat after 8:00 p.m. Potlucks are still a temptation, but now I just remember what a teaspoon looks like and put only that much on my plate.

I also learned that exercise doesn’t have to be boring or tedious. I’ve found creative ways to be active. Where I used to flip channels, now I chase my puppy around the yard, go for walks with my best friend, hike and do occasional crunches. And now that I’ve won the Nintendo Wii® Fit, I love it! Through it, I’ve discovered a whole new world of activity—and it’s actually fun! The Wii really helps me stay active so I can continue to focus on my goal weight of 145 pounds.

During the first week of the Challenge, I lost eight whole pounds! I thought, “Holy cow, there’s something going on here!” My total loss during the Challenge was 20 pounds, and I’ve lost another 12 on top of that. I’ve gone from 56 inches around my waist to 42 inches. Fourteen inches!† That definitely got my husband’s attention! My goal is to keep on losing, down to 145. I plan on being at MannaFestSM 2011 for the one-year review and blowing everybody’s mind. I definitely want the “wow!” factor.

Even though my motivation at first was simply to win the contest, I have actually “won” so much more—better health, a great sense of accomplishment and the desire to see others achieve results too!

†Individual results may vary. Participants in a preliminary open-label study conducted by Mannatech, Incorporated lost an average of 5.5 pounds and 2.5 inches over an 8-week period. The OsoLean powder should be used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet such as the OsoLean Plan and proper exercise.
